



DEON Intervention, Inc. is a nonprofit organization designed to empower communities with positive avenues to address the issues surrounding youth and young adults (Age 10 – Age 22) in the areas of Drugs, Education, Obesity & Nutrition.
DEON Intervention, Inc. believes that every child deserves to have his or her needs met and that measures must be put in place to provide avenues to meet those needs.
DEON Intervention, Inc. purpose is to provide Nutritional, Educational as well Social and Personal services to this population. Specifically, services will be delivered in the following ways: Youth/Parent Workshops, Mentorship, Saturday Academy, Organized Club Meetings and Drug Awareness Workshops (Illicit and Prescription). Individual and Group Counseling will be provided in the areas of Nutrition and Academics.
Lynette Ruffin Goode was born in Southampton County Virginia, she is the youngest of four children, two brothers and one sister. She graduated in nineteen eighty-two from Southampton high school in Courtland Virginia. she then attended Virginia Union University, in Richmond, Virginia graduated with a B.S. degree in Psychology. she also has a certificate in substance abuse counseling from J Sargeant Reynolds community college in Richmond, Virginia. after graduating from Virginia Union University She then began working for Signet Bank which is now called Wachovia. In 1995 a career advancement opportunity was made available to her. Then she became a proud employee of Blue Cross and Blue Shield Insurance Company of Virginia, which she was a Benefit Analyst for the Dominion Power dedicated unit. In nineteen and ninety seven there was a career interruption due to illness, as a result it was necessary that she retire.
